Totally Unique Circa 1800 Country Chippendale Flat Canopy Bed, with full Paneled Head Board. Painted Pine, with some original stenciling showing on canopy.  Bed had been repainted sometime long before we acquired it, and when we began to clean it down to the original paint 30 years ago, we found original stenciling on canopy and stopped the restoration process, and left as is.  Bed Sides are mortised and removable, being held by large hand made wrought-iron Hook and Eye Latches.  70" x 45" x 78" high.  Used daily by adults.  Acquired from the personal collection of Joe Byerly of Greensboro, NC.

Expert Opinions attribute it to either American Pennsylvanian origin or European Austrian origin.
